The Brief
We were approached by clients for the complete renovation of this spacious 850 Sqft 2BHK apartment in Vile Parle, Mumbai. They wanted us to design a contemporary and cozy home. This project was completed in 4 months.
Living
The living room of this apartment was spacious enough to create a large, very eye-catchy TV unit design and a cozy reading corner with accent brick wall tile cladding and a high back accent chair. A customized slim wall shelf on the sofa wall provided a space to show artifacts with the flexibility to change the arrangement without having to touch the wall. The apartment already came with a very attractive large marble flooring. We advised our clients to retain this feature for common areas such as living, reading, and dining, and got it polished to make it shine like new.
Dining & Foyer
A subtle decorative wall molding paneling in the dining area was created to provide royal character to the wall. An opulent chandelier on the dining table right in front of the entrance of the house is the first focal point of this apartment. The customized V-groove design mirror on the foyer wall provided a charm and illusion of a larger space.
Kitchen
High gloss white and dark grey Cabinet finishes with built-in appliances were selected for a functional and contemporary kitchen. Quality Marble Finish backsplash tiles integrate amazingly with black granite countertop and cabinet finishes to maintain the continuity in design and colors which made this kitchen look spacious. Open shelving and a multi-functional breakfast counter added more practicality and aesthetic to this kitchen.
